Earnest Eats

Recently a friend of mine asked me to tune into a TV show ( Food Network’s – Food Fortune’s) to watch him and his business partner square off with other entrepreneur’s in order to gain funding to expand their business. Mark and his partner Andrew squared off with the other competitors, presented a good case to the judges and won the show, it was exciting to watch.

Mark and Andrew came up with a product line that is tasty, healthy, and convenient. Mark started me off with their “Hot and Fit” cereal’s. Cereal’s that are full of “super-foods”, and come in two convenient packages to use.

For the times that you are home and need something quick, hot, and healthy, the multi-serve bags allow you to make a hot bowl of cereal, chock full of goodness and low in sugar.

  • I like that this product is made with all natural ingredients – there is not one ingredient on the list that you can’t understand.
  • The recommended mixture is about 1 cup of water, milk, etc…with 1/2 cup of cereal. I personally like my cereal thick, so I found that 1/2 cup of water worked better for me.
  • I usually like to put a little trail mix into my oatmeal when I make it in the morning, I’m finding that this cereal works fine for me without having to add more to it.
  • So far my favorite has been the Asia Mix, with just a note of green tea & occasional sesame seeds its a refreshing change from normal cereals.

For the times that you are out camping and need something quick and healthy, the single serving cups are ready to go and sweetened, all you have to do is add water.

  • Basically the same cereal as the multi-serve bags, but pre-sweetened with a non GMO pure cane sugar. For home use, its probably more sugar then I personally want, but out camping or getting ready for a hike, that won’t really matter, the more calories the better. Even though this product is pre-sweetened it contains less sugar then the average oatmeal cup, “averaging 14-16 gm of sugar vs 26 gm of sugar by the leading oatmeal cup” according to Earnest Eats.
